Bathroom Renovation

I wish I would have taken before pictures.....but I was more worried about getting packed and ready for the beach than taking pictures of our half bath and closet. A few months back we decided to replace our hot water heater with a tankless one. This freed up some space in a hallway closet that just so happened to back up to our half bath in the "master" bedroom. 1950's bungalows do not have "master" anythings....but it will do! I had the brilliant idea to make this "extra" space into a shower/linen closet (which this house did not have). So the hallway now opens into a tiny linen closet to keep towels, medicine, games and everything else that ends up in closets like this. The contractor did most of the work while we were at the beach with a few things that were tied up over the following week once we were home! Here is our SPA-like bathroom!!!! This space is small.....I MEAN SMALL.....I searched google looking for the shallowest sink and toilet I could find.

We are waiting for 2 glass shelves to arrive to put above the toilet and are contemplating a large mirror for the back wall to make the space appear bigger....

The glass door guy must have seen how small the space was when he came to measure for the door that he took it upon himself to make the handle a towel bar.....bless him!!!
We love our new bathroom!!!!! We also love the potential selling power it will bring us in a few years!!!!

so sweet....

Most evenings, Scott does Elsie's bedtime feeding. tI was doing dishes.....and all of a sudden is was way too quiet. When I went to investigate this is what I found.....

Seacrest Beach: Days 2-4

The rest of the family (Nana, Pops, Cadie, Logan, Ryan, Kristy, Isabelle, and my mom) all arrived after lunch on Wednesday. We headed out to the beach that morning before everyone arrived. We took E to Hilton Head when she was 4 months old....this was a different experience for her and us! She was all over the place.....

Look at that tummy!!

First time sitting in the ocean :)

Let's give this sand a try.....
.
Ummm...bad idea! It does not taste very good.

Quick break for lunch....yummy fruit!

Pole dancing.....this is the LAST time I want to see this happen!!!

Hi mommy!!!

Am I cute or what????

The place we stayed had an ENORMOUS pool....12,ooo square feet! It was beautiful and had plenty of room to swim and play!!!

Elsie and Gigi before our dinner out.

Everyone we talked to said that we had to go to the Red Bar for dinner.....well, it did not disappoint! Yummy drinks, seafood and great company!

Sweet Isabelle and Kristy

Denbow Family

All smiles when Daddy is holding her!!!

Elsie and Nana

Barb (Nana) retired from many, many, many years of teaching this past May. We decided to celebrate her while we were at the beach! There was a little video with pics of the grandkids showing her that "the best is yet to come"! Scott, Ry and Cadie all said a little bit to their mom thanking her for all her hard work and dedication over the years.....tears were shed by all!!!

Elsie and Isabelle's first bath together...so cute!!

I cannot get E to drink out of a sippy cup, but she will let us drip water into her mouth all day long!!!

Sweet face at lunch our last day of vacation! The weather could have been better but we had a wonderful time with our family! Can't wait till next year!

Seacrest Beach: Day 1

We got to the beach a little after lunch on Tuesday! We settled in the house, rented bikes, hit the grocery and then headed to dinner!!

Elsie enjoying some puffs at dinner...no need for our stick on placemat, we had white tablecloths!!!

First family photo of beach trip 2010!!!

We rode our bikes to this little restaurant in Alys Beach (next to Seacrest Beach) for dinner. We were the first to arrive right at 5:00...dinner was delicious and super fresh!

Elsie had her very first ride in a bike trailer...she liked it but kept trying to lick the window!!

Our dinner ended with a beautiful rainbow on the way home!!
